Privacy policy: T Sound Man mobile apps

Your audio

The feedback-killer apps process audio from your interface or the built-in microphone in real time. They do not record it and do not send it off the device unless you turn on "Help improve the AI" below. Microphone access is used only to bring that audio in for processing.

Help improve the AI (only if you turn it on)

Every Feedback Killer AI product (the mobile apps, the computer program and the plug-in) asks once whether you want to help improve the AI. If you say yes, each time the AI cuts a howl (or cuts by mistake) it sends that mic's sound from 45 seconds before to 25 seconds after (about 1-3 MB), the frequencies it cut, the product version and the technical settings at that moment (AI and AUTO NOISE on/off, input level, sample rate / buffer size, and the channel number and the name you gave it in the program) to tsoundman.com, at most 20 times a day.

No name, e-mail, licence key or machine ID is sent: only a random ID made when you said yes. The sound may contain people speaking or singing on stage. We use it only to train and test T Sound Man's AI; it is never published, sold or shared.

Nothing is recorded before you say yes. Turn it off any time in the program's Settings (or the HELP THE AI button on the plug-in); turning it off deletes clips not yet sent. To have clips you already sent deleted, contact T Sound Man on LINE.

Kept on your device only

Settings, saved setups, routing and the trial start date stay on the device. The trial start and the purchase are kept in the device Keychain, so deleting and reinstalling the app does not start a new trial.

There is no sign-up in the apps, no ads, and no tracking or usage analytics. If you already have a tsoundman.com account you can sign in with it (see "Signing in with a T Sound Man account").

In-App Purchases (App Store)

The full version is bought through the Apple App Store. T Sound Man never receives your card or payment details; the app only asks the App Store whether your Apple ID has bought the full version.

Signing in with a T Sound Man account (optional)

Feedback Killer AI 4CH, AI 8CH, AI 16CH and FeedbackKiller Plus+ 8CH for iPhone and iPad (in versions that include it) have a Sign in button under Settings > FULL VERSION, for people whose tsoundman.com account already has that app's full version. If you never tap Sign in, the app sends none of this.

When you sign in, the app sends the e-mail and password you type, the product name and a machine ID (a one-way value that cannot be reversed, kept in the device Keychain) to tsoundman.com over HTTPS, to check that the account has the full version and to count devices.

The app does not keep your password. It keeps only the e-mail (to show which account is signed in), the licence code and the activation the server signed. After that it re-checks the licence online at most once a day with the licence code and the machine ID (never the password), and works offline as usual.

Sign out in the app to release this device from the account and remove the sign-in from the device. Accounts can be created only on tsoundman.com; the store's privacy policy (link below) covers accounts, orders and payments.

The remotes

FK Plus Remote and Signal Rack Remote talk to the program on your computer directly over your Wi-Fi network; this never goes through our servers. They need local network permission to find the program.

The camera is used only to scan the pairing QR code. Images are neither stored nor sent anywhere.

Versions downloaded from tsoundman.com

Versions downloaded from tsoundman.com (such as the Android apps) send the licence key, the product name and a machine ID (a one-way hash of the device identifier that cannot be reversed) to the T Sound Man licence server when you activate and from time to time, only to verify the licence and count the devices on a key. This is never sold or shared. The App Store versions send this only after you sign in.

Deleting data / contact

Uninstalling an app deletes what it kept on the device (except the trial start, the purchase and the machine ID in the Keychain). For any question, or to have your licence activation records or your tsoundman.com account deleted, contact T Sound Man on LINE or through tsoundman.com.
